They not only reduce the plastic waste that is rampant in today’s date but also become a cute handmade fixture on your kid’s desk. With easy-to-follow instructions, this craft is literally child’s play! You will need-

Plastic bottles

Acrylic paints

Marker pens

Scissors

Start off with cutting the plastic bottle into halves. Assist your child in this step so cutting is clean and safe, paint the bottle in any color you like, and draw faces and shapes on it with the marker paint after the paint has dried. There you have it- a super easy hack to reduce plastic waste and at the same heightening your child’s creative prowess, we here call it a win-win! 

Your Own Tiny Boat Made With Plastic Bottles- Your child can make their own toys using plastic bottles in the house, customize them to any color they want, and add any feature they like to their boats, basically, let their imagination run wild while reducing more landfill? You need to assist your kids in the first step as it requires them to cut one side of the bottle with a utility knife. You can take a piece of textured plastic and even make the mast of the boat which can add a distinct look to your plastic bottle. For this craft, you can use the empty lotion bottles that would have been discarded otherwise and be dumped in a landfill! Instead, we are using it to keep our belongings safe and add aesthetic value to our room-We call this a double whammy! You can also this cell phone holder as a charging case for outlets in your home which do not have support, now you can charge your phone in any corner of your house! You will need-

An empty plastic lotion bottle

Marker pen

Scissors

Sandpaper

Piece of Fabri

Fevicryl.

Take the lotion bottle and thoroughly wash it with hot water and air dry it. Measure your phone against the bottle to determine the size of your cellphone holder and mark it out on the bottle, cut according to the shape that you have marked. Using sandpaper, smooth out the edges so that there are no sharp corners. Then, apply fevicryl all over the bottle and stick your choice of fabric, hold it taut as you trim off the excess. If you choose to hang it while charging your phone, just cut a square type hole to hang your brand new cellphone holder!
