Not every kid is tuned to learning new things the same way and pushing a one size fits all approach is not going to help your young enthusiastic learner. What’s worse is that if it is not comfortable and easy to grasp, your child may not be willing to learn, and might be scared every time a new concept or idea is introduced to them. Embracing their learning style is encouraging their unique way of perceiving new information and solidifying their interest to learn and grow new things.

Your child can be a visual learner, an auditory learner, and much more- make sure you identify these key differentiators, encourage them to embrace their unique affinities, and oh, happy learning!

Kinesthetic Learner- As the word suggests, Kinesthetic learners are inherently physical learners. This learning style is quite visible in kids who love sports or dancing. A kinesthetic learner quickly learns to express their thoughts through their body- it may be through well-articulated gestures or using their fingers or hands for counting or to emphasize a point. In early childhood, especially infants you can spot this learning activity in babies who learn how to walk or crawl early on- these strengths just stay with your kids as they grow older. Another marker for this style of learning is an inherent love for hands-on activities like painting, molding, sculpting. Loves handwriting or drawing exercises- constantly looks for a chance to physically map out something. Kinesthetic learners also constantly fidget when they are trying to solve a problem as they need to move when trying to process information. Kinesthetic learners also have incredible hand-eye coordination from an early age. It is best for such learners to optimize their learning style and indulge in activities that boost their abilities- it might mean that it is time to put them in a gymnastics class, or let them play a sport, or encourage them to go into dancing and for toddlers, more activities like finger painting, clay molding and play dates with other kids can help with their learning skills.

Auditory Learners- As the name suggests, Auditory learners are more drawn to teachings and activities that are centered around sound and music. Early markers for these learning styles are if your baby or toddler positively reacts and shows a desire from a younger age to be more drawn to conversation or music. These learners are incredibly sensitive to sounds and pick up rhythm and tones quite well and are able to distinguish between different sounds from a younger age. These learners also try to interact a lot with their parents when they talk to them or play music around them. Some of the indications of auditory learning are an early aptitude in music and musical instruments, better vocal ability, tendency to sing along to their favorite music or make their own tunes, have a very strong verbal ability, and can perfectly retell all the phrases they have heard often in their past. They also are able to respond well to verbal instructions and have a keen ear for conversations and music whenever one is around them!

Visual Learners: Another type of learner are visual learners, and these kinds of children are quite observant and analytical of the world around them. They pick up on cues and changes quite efficiently and are quite drawn to illustrations, maps, paintings. They love to enjoy screen time whether on TV or Ipads as videos and moving pictures are how they like to learn about their environment, They also this visual information quite readily and easily compared to other formats of information. They also have vibrant and detailed memories of recent events. They are also skilled at remembering names, landmarks, or people that they have met. Such kids have vivid imaginations from a very young age and have a remarkable interest in arts and crafts. Visual learners are almost often keenly observing the world around them whether it is at their home or outside, they pick up on details more than other learners. They also develop a good sense of direction from a young age are good at spotting different places on the map or the globe. Another great thing to observe is that they are also keen readers and can retain significant information after one glance or a thorough read depending upon the size of the information

The Small Wonderland has kitchen toys made out of fabric, and these toys have been inspired by Indian food! They are great for pretend play for the young ones. The best part is that since it’s ‘Indian Food’, kids are able to replicate in play what they see in their real-life kitchen. I have personally not seen anything like this before in the market, my kids play with them every single day. The fact that they are made out of fabric and not plastic makes them environmentally friendly. The biggest plus is it’s a Made in India Toy #VocalForLocal.

The set we have is 499 INR . They have different ‘thali’s’ for you to choose from. Price range 499 INR – 1250 INR. It’s a must-have for young kids as it also gives them a fair idea about the Indian kitchen.

Would recommend parents with young children to get this set for educational purposes as well!

How much does it cost?

499 INR onwards
