Giving birth—no matter how you give birth—is one of the most incredible and physically demanding experiences of your entire life. That means it's super rewarding, but also challenging to recover from, especially if you had a C-section. You are physically tired and mentally fatigued. Postpartum depression that goes unchecked can pose a great danger to the wellbeing of the mother, and most of us don’t know about it until it hits us hard. I started using Instagram to document my baby’s day-to-day life and came across various mom influencers to get inspired. They blogged about everything including PPD and I am ever grateful to the platform where I could find myself again.
More than anything else, finding a support network through social media (IG) for emotional support, relieved me of most pressure I had dealing with newborn all alone. Mom influencers, who have gone through the same, shared their experiences and gave out solutions. Once I was no more depressed and felt positive, I started to blog on Instagram.
